Frequently Asked Questions about the Beaches of La Maddalena

Which beach in La Maddalena is best for families with children?+

Baia Trinita and Spalmatore are among the best for families: shallow, gently sloping sea beds, calm water and easy to reach by car. The coves of the outer archipelago (Cala Coticcio, Cala Corsara, the Pink Beach) need a boat or a walk, so they suit older children better.

Which beaches can be reached by car and which only by boat or on foot?+

Baia Trinita, Tegge, Spalmatore, Strangolato and Cala d'Inferno can be reached directly by car. Cala Coticcio (on foot from Caprera), Cala Corsara, Cala Granara, Cala Soraja, the Pink Beach and the other coves of the outer archipelago can only be reached by sea.

Which beach is closest to Il Maestrale?+

Cala Spalmatore is the closest to the holiday home, about 10 minutes by car; Baia Trinita and Punta Tegge are 15-20 minutes away.

Is it worth renting a dinghy to visit the beaches of the archipelago?+

Yes: many of the most beautiful beaches (Cala Corsara, the Pink Beach, the coves of Spargi and Budelli) are on islands you can only reach by boat. Our guests can use our dinghy rental service on request.

When is the best time to enjoy the beaches without the crowds?+

June and September offer warm water and quieter beaches than July and August, when it's best to arrive early in the morning to find a spot, especially at the beaches you can reach by car.
